To configure variable use medication settings in EMIS Web, follow these steps:
Access Medication Configuration:- Navigate to the EMIS Web menu.
- Point to Care Record and select Medication.
- If you don't have a patient selected, you'll be prompted to select one using the Patient Find feature.
- On the ribbon, click Config to display the Medication Configuration screen.
- Once on the Medication Configuration screen, locate the Variable Use Prescribing settings.
- Select one of the following options:
- Always split: This option will always separate variable use medication onto a different prescription from non-variable use medications.
- Prompt user to split: A prompt will appear verifying whether to print the medication on a separate prescription or not when prescribing multiple medications including variable use.
- Disabled: The variable use option is unavailable when issuing medication.
