What is eConsult's Smart Inbox?

eConsult is a digital triage and online consultation platform that allows NHS GP practices to better understand the needs of their patients. By collecting rich, safe and structured patient information, patients can be better supported to get the right care at the right time and in the right place.

The eConsult Smart Inbox is a customisable and collaborative way for you to view, manage and respond to your patient’s needs, from anywhere and at any scale.

You can now access Hero's self-booking link functionality through the eConsult Smart Inbox. Clinicians and administrators using the Smart Inbox can generate and share self-booking links in response to inbound patient enquiries.

How it works

Simple steps to send patients a Hero generated self-booking link through the eConsult Smart Inbox

New patient online consultation is submitted

Either the patient or proxy submits an online consultation via a practice's website, or a practice can make a submission on a patient's behalf.

Clinician responds to the online consultation within the Smart Inbox

Clinicians monitor submissions within the Smart Inbox. Where appropriate, they send a patient a patient-led Hero self-booking link in response to the submission.

Patient finds and books slot

The Hero self-booking link allows the patient to confirm their identity before selecting a preferred slot at the defined location.
